Members of the group Business Headington are now planning a number of projects for 2010. The group will work with Oxford City Council and the residents' umbrella organisation Headington Action and others, on a number of projects for the area. |

The group was heavily involved in planning the 2009 three-day Headington Christmas Experience, which built on a successful event the year before. Hundreds of people turned out in the pouring rain to see the 2009 Headington Christmas Lights switched on. Matt & Giselle from Heart FM did the honours with some help from OTCN's human post box 'Wishy'. The Lights Switch On was the feature event of a day of activities: street entertainment from a stilt-walking-Christmas-tree fairy, a balloon artist, face-painters, local bands and a churches choir, plus a host of in-shop activities including Santa in his grotto. More than 30 Headington businesses clubbed together to help fund the 2009 event. Those to contribute include: |
