An International Trade Forum for Oxfordshire The next OITF events are:1. Focus on USA. Free event. Rescheduled to 2013. 2. How to win at International Trade Shows: Rescheduled to 2013. We’re very keen to hear from Oxfordshire businesses that export or import, and would like to play a part in the Forum. Please email . OITF is a major initiative to boost international trade in our county. The aim is to bring together businesses involved in international trade as a membership organisation:
![]() Following a very successful launch event and further feedback from delegates about the form OITF should take going forward, the organising group agreed a phase two development plan. The aim is to go forward with events at two-monthly intervals, alternating between one subject focused, and one area focused. Event 2 was ‘Focus on China’ with delegates hearing from UKTI’s China Business Advisor, Chris Lowsley, award-winning designer, Stefan Knox, whose company Bang Creations has been trading there for almost 15 years, and IP specialist, Chris Shelley, from hosts Manches LLP (pictured right). Chris Lowsley’s slides can be downloaded in Powerpoint format here.
The Forum was launched with a high profile speaker event hosted by London-Oxford Airport and addressed by Banbury MP Tony Baldry. Delegates heard from ByBox CEO, Stuart Miller, (pictured left) about his company’s experiences of trading overseas, along with information presentations from Richard Smith of UKTI, Mark Dodd from Lloyds TSB Commercial and Hitendra Patel from Spratt Endicott. Questions about export? Ask them at UKTI South East’s online forum.
