Is your company eligible for the Innovation Voucher Scheme? Did you know that, if your company or organisation has not commissioned consultancy services from a university before, it could be eligible for a grant of up to £4,000 worth of consultancy on a sustainability theme under the SEEDA Innovation Voucher scheme?  The
scheme offers small to medium-sized companies (SMEs) a voucher of up to a maximum of £4,000
for a specific programme of consultancy work with a university that fits within the sustainability agenda.Examples of the areas of work which could be covered include the retrofit, design or build of properties to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact, renewable energy resources, energy efficiency and better energy management, and the re-use and recycling of materials. Oxford Brookes University's Research and Business Development Office is managing the scheme and processing applications on behalf of SEEDA. We are taking applications now, with an initial limit of one voucher per company. A company can choose to work with any university in the U.K, but the company applying must be based in the SEEDA region which excludes London. Oxford Brookes itself has particular research strengths in sustainability, including expertise in Construction, Urban Policy and Sustainable Development and Environmental Assessment. Applicants will only be required to pay the VAT on the value of the award which can be reclaimed and the £4,000 voucher can also be used as part-payment for a larger piece of consultancy work.
